Letra is a macOS menu bar app for people who need text that is stuck inside something they cannot select, such as a video, a screenshot, a PDF or a shared screen. Pressing Cmd+Shift+2 and dragging over the area copies the recognised text straight to the clipboard. Recognition runs on-device with Apple Vision, so nothing is uploaded. It requires macOS 14 or later and is sold as a one-time purchase, from $5.99 for one Mac up to $13.99 for three, with all future updates included and a 7-day refund in place of a trial. The app was previously called Snatch.
