Showrunner

A next-generation messenger built for teams — with AI agents, smart summaries, and notifications that actually matter.

Showrunner is a next-generation team messaging platform designed to replace tools like Slack and Discord with a smarter, calmer communication experience. Built by the team at Bylines, Inc. and led by Sahil Lavingia, Showrunner integrates AI agents that ingest context, resolve dependencies, and surface only relevant updates — eliminating pseudo-urgency and notification overload. Key features include intelligent message summaries, voice-first huddles, Perplexity-style search, and unified media and document sharing within threads. Showrunner targets teams, creators, and knowledge workers who are frustrated with fragmented workflows and unhealthy notification habits, offering a single internal communications system that combines messaging, wiki, and project boards.
